Steps to Flash:

If you are new to MIUI then follow the steps.

1. Wipe cache, data, system, dalvik cahe.
2. Flash the Latest MIUI FULL ROM.
3. Reboot

Steps to Upgrade:
1. Download the MIUI upgrades.
2. Flash all upgrades one after one sequentially without wiping anything.

or 

Use Updater app to upgrade to latest version through OTA.

If you want Google apps (gapps) then go to recovery and flash the zip to get Google play, gmail and you tube. (For ROM before 3.11.22)

Download GAPPs
Billionupload or Mediafire or Rapidshare or Mega.co.nr or Google Drive 

(gapps is included in the rom after MIUI 3.11.22, so no need to flash gapps again. If any problem then you can flash gapps.)

0. To Upgrade to latest version through OTA:

Settings-> About Phone-> System Updates.

or open Updater app.

Note- You can only upgrade to latest ROM via OTA on Monday.

1. To remove Carrier Label:

Settings-> Status bar-> Customized Carrier Label. Insert nothing.

But you will see a vertical line on the status bar. To remove it completely you have to flash the remove Carrier label zip for every upgrade.

Note: All the zips are different for different upgrade versions of MIUI. So use the zip for specified version of miui you are using. e.g. If you are using MIUI 3.11.29 then you cant use remove carrier zip file of version 3.11.22.

2. To use Root function:

Open "Permission" app-> Root-> enable permission monitor.

 

3. Fix No name in call:

Open "Contact" and then go to settings->Organize your Contact->Rebuild index data.

4. Working with WSM Manager:

WSM tool is same as xposed and gravity box in other rom. YOu can change many things as you want.

1. Download WSM Manager.
2. Open WSM Manager and go to setting->Manage WSM-> Install -> reboot.
3. Open WSM Manager->online-> download Mi Tools.
4. Enable Mi Tools in WSM tools and reboot.
5. Now open Mi Tools and do the customization.

Day 3 A Hike to Kleine Scheidegg

The plan for the day was for Phil and I to hike up to Mannlichen, where XiaoQin would join us via cable car. Then hopefully, wed do the mountain view walk together to Kleine Scheidegg and maybe back to Wengen, depending on how much walking we were willing to do. After a short quarter mile walk through Wengen, the trail led steeply up along the hillside. One look up the mountain and it was obvious why---the trail went alongside what was practically a cliff! It didnt take us long before we got to the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy memorial. I suspected but didnt know that he was the Mendelssohn, so I took a picture and moved on.

Going higher up, the views opened up but because of overcast skies, we could not see far. We had been warned that this hike would be harder than usual because of constructions on the avalanche protection near the top, but were not prepared for signs like this:

In the USA, these signs would be cause for a lawsuit were anyone to be injured by rock fall, and hence the entire trail would be closed, despite the fact that I did not see any possibility of rock fall.

Once we got higher, we saw some wildflowers and the pace slowed a little bit. I wasnt happy about the overcast, though, as it promised that our views of the mountains would be occluded.

Sure enough, the panorama trail granted us only views of the base of the Eiger, the Jungfrau, and the Monch, and the best view of the mountains we got was further down, past the Kleine Scheidegg train station.

We finished the hike one station down, got onto the train and then had a pizza dinner, hoping for some nice weather tomorrow before the serious riding began.
